VARIETIES: The unique local varieties of Chiotiko krassero and Ayannitis have been cultivated in Chios since ancient times and are found today in this excellent red wine.
VINIFICATION: The wine is fermented under controlled temperature.
AGING: Aged for 18 months in a naturally humid and cold cellar so as to bring out the peculiar fragrance and color of the two grape varieties and the aromas of French oak barrels.
PAIRING: “Ariousios Afstiros” pairs ideally with red meats, red sauces, spicy dishes and seafood.
PRESERVATION: “Ariousios Afstiros” the more aged, the more matures. Its characteristics are mostly developed after two years in the bottle. It is better to be served about half an hour left in the fridge and in jar with an open mouth.
TASTING: The local Chian varieties Chiotiko Krassero and Ayanittis offer a charming red colour, flavors of red fruits and vanilla to bring you a rich and balanced taste.
